Staggering under the working man’s burden of taxes, bills, and societal obligations, we settle in on the bus for the morning’s commute – sit by me! sit by me! – and consult the Mighty iPod.
O Mighty iPod, Head-Phoned Bringer of Subtle In-Public Grooving, Harbinger of Funky Weekend Hijinx! What’s the haps?

And there you have it. Crazy, red hot? You the man for the girl? You know what that means, don’t you?
Yep! It’s almost time for Misfit Christmas!
Misfit Christmas will be held the day after Christmas, in the attic, aka “The Urban Cabin” at Chez Perle.
As usual, there will be beers of all kinds (room temperature and cold), clam chowder, home-made caramels, and a rousing dice game that involves stealing presents from each other.
And if you’re not careful, Willie will sing Motorhead again and cause the cats to run up the drapery.
If this year’s party is anything like last year’s, the party will start at 7:00 and will eventually dwindle down to a half-dozen or so of us, pre-pre-dawn, earnestly gathered around the remaining candles with the remaining beer, talking smart and solving the world’s problems.
No, no need to thank us! It’s what we’re here for.
Actually, it’s what we’re all here for.
Now where’s my beer?

Motorhead, warm beer, and tone deaf felines; the definition of a Misfit Christmas.
Tanked on warm beer as the sun comes up...ahhh...you just described my "Wednesday"
Beer, dice, Motorhead and gifts. It is the makings of a perfect evening. If you order a pizza it will be like a dream!
Sounds GREAT!
That sounds absolutely awesome. Couldn't that just take the place of the holidays entirely?
Sounds like a great tradition! (And thanks for placing your cute little face in my follower list!)
Sounds like a great party -- why didn't I know you when I actually lived in the Twin Cities?
My attic is a crawl space. I am sooooo jealous.
Where's my invite? I'm 'all in'...but someone would have to explain the music to me because I'm 'all old' as well.
You will, of course, post an audio clip of Willie singing Motorhead, won't you? Please?
Nothing wrong with a little Motorhead!
I missed our Christmas party this year (from where I retired!) Dang it.
All the gossip, all the learing and joking about what people had the balls to wear out in public.
Shit.
Beers of the world sounds good for a Sunday afternoon.
