Wherein Liza Bean Bitey Explores Her Creative Side

I found a slight smear of canned cat food on my keyboard the other day.

Funny. I don’t remember eating cat food…

There’s a new icon on my desktop: Haikus.

Who can help but double-click?

Little can, dumped in
Ceramic platter is nice
Where is the garnish?

I glance over at Liza Bean, curled up on a folded blanket at the end of the couch. Her eyes are closed, but the set of her ears suggests she is not asleep.

I move to the next haiku, entitled “Rest Easy”.

One eye is open
Oh, yes, I am watching you
Your cash card in reach.

Hmmm. That explains the charge from Amazon. I can’t wait to see what arrives.

You know I couldn’t resist, don’t you? I left her a haiku on my way out.

Autumn approaches
The kitty sleeps on my head
I dream of fur hats.

Dang cat.

The Wonder Dog also keeps tabs on me with one eye...

Wonder Dog sleeping
Snores through the day at my feet
Dreaming of kitties.

I think he wishes he had some kitty friends. Maybe he could be pen pals with Liza Bean.

Probably best to arrange a play date between Wonder Dog and Liza Bean; make them both happy.

At least she's outgrown that slutty stage she was going through when she was into dance : )

Liza Bean must get her literary bent from her owner/roommate. My four cats have never shown any creativity beyond making interesting patterns in the kitty litter they kick out of the litter boxes.

I had a dog who used to log in to chat rooms at night, insult people in Swahili, and post my email for everybody to see.

Notice the "had a dog" part.

What wonderful haikus Liza Bean writes! She is one talented kitty.

My two, Asha and Katia, are too busy sleeping on clean laundry to be so creative, I fear.

LMHO I was seriously considering getting a kitten. Now, I'm not so sure I want to ride on that crazy gravy cat tin train.

Still ... super duper hilarious!

Blessings!
