I’m Just Waiting on a Friend

Mary’s on her way over. We’re going to her sister’s surprise party, a party that she’s arranged for herself, apparently.

Her sister’s not my friend, but Mary is.

We’ve known each other for almost 30 years now.

I think we choose our friends based both on traits we see in ourselves and traits we find attractive in others.

Mary, for example, is a hard worker, a genuinely funny person, and honest both with herself and with others.

She is also irreverent, prone to say what everyone’s thinking but wouldn’t dream of making public, and willing to jump in on behalf of the underdog.

When you get Mary, you get all of her – warts and all. And I like my friends’ warts.

They look like mine.

Please tell Icky thank you for the mango-lime salsa recipe. I definitely will make it.
Regarding friends, I have friends that I met in eighth grade and they know me and still like me. Amazing.
Other than that, they are pretty smart people.

Nothing wrong with a few warts, LOL. Just keep telling like it is.

That first comment is so pointless.
But...in keeping with that, heres another useless medical fact, "The number one cause of blindness in the United States is diabetes."

Mary is awesome.

Techno, your more than welcome.

This is exactly what friendship is about. And if that's not what your friendships are about, they're not real friendships, just aquaintences, business contacts or toxic relationships. Hmmmm. Strong words - but it sounds right. I just think you are pretty great. Mary too.

Family and relatives are those that we dont choose as we have no option...but friends are the only ones that we choose and u become friends only when u enjoys being with him/her and share a comfortable zone!!

Enjoy the party!!

Did you ever notice that if you change the letter W to F, your friends become farts?
But that can be fun too....
If your friends were perfect, they wouldn't have all that fun material to make fun of to their faces.
All of my friends are quirky and quite different from one another. But like you, it is those quirks that I love most about them.

That is sweet, but I must say that MY warts are simply to-die for! Like, the rage.

And my name is also Mary.

Coincidence?

Most likely.
(PS- I lied. I don't actually have any warts.)
