I Miss You Already

In a move that has stunned the author of this blog, one half of my laptop's screen has ceased to function unless one holds one's thumb against it.

The laptop has been bundled up and will be dropped off for fixing after work today.

I can hear the guys at the repair shop salivating now. Here comes that boat payment...

In the meantime, I've found the loss of the computer to be rather confusing. Like stepping into the shower with socks on, there's something amiss here; and it's the fact that I was unable to write/post last night.

Until I'm back, please remember me fondly.

Saturday evening, my internet went down...again.

I was without the ability to write up the Sunday post that I had all ready and prepped. So, it'll have to wait until this Sunday, I guess.

Still, I know the pain and misery you must endure. Stay strong, Pearl. We're here for you.

But, I know how lost you must feel that is an extension of you. (when I had to send mine in..and I am not a writer I was still loss by not knowing what was going on in blogland I was about to go crazy and that's before I started farming..LOL) Hope it's not that bad, maybe just a video card is needed or graphics card. fingers crossed :-))

I can only imagine.

How did anyone live without computers? or cell phones? or the internet...?

Good luck to you, my friend. I hope the separation will not be long.

OR expensive.

Do not drown your sorrows in evil drink nor allow worry to permanently furrow your fair brow. But use caution as you pass the other laptops for sale. They will smile and pant and wag their little tails but resist! Be loyal to the old one.

Or drop it like a hot rock for the sexy new one with twice the memory and the (much) faster processor that costs only a few bucks more than the current repair will be.

Pearly, we do remember you fondly, even though you are still with us! You've probably given the guys in the repair shop their favourite problem to fix: stick something inside the laptop - a biscuit, a nickel, whatever... - that replicates the pressure of this dame's* thumb.

* (My knowledge of how Americans speak may be a little out of date. My apologies.)

I'm with Douglas on this one. Repairs can really bite the wallet.
I'm just going to sit here and wait for you to come back as I fondly reminisce, oh wait, there must be something in the archives I can console myself with!
Anyway, i'll be right here.

Mwa ha ha ha haaaaaa! I will be 'puter-hopping for the next couple weeks, invading the homes of friends in order to post. It will be more difficult in some ways but I'm thinking that the changes in scenery will be good for my writing.

I was thinking just the other day that I didn't know how much longer I would find things to talk about and here I've been invited into people's homes to write!

Think of the snooping!! :-)
