Cool Book About Historic Minneapolis

Just because I'm that kinda gal, I'm going to take these first words to plug a book by an Uptown Minneapolis gal, Heather Block Lawton. It's full of historic photos of Minneapolis, and it is only right that it's called "Historic Photos of Minneapolis". I love these kinds of books -- photos of the buildings that used to be there, pics of people doing things that used to be ordinary and are now remarkable. You should check it out!

And now, on with the show.

I am so gonna get that book. Just another reminder of the sands through the hourglass: vernacular from the 90's.

I love pictures like that too! Especially when you can see trees that were babies in those old photos and now their all grown up. How cool is that?

Plus, I like to see pictures of people back then, because they never smiled...What's up with that?

:)

Thanks for following. I love those kind of books. I want a coffee table full of nice shiny books with big pictures of really pretty places. And then the teletubby hits me in the head and I crash back to reality.

What was in the place where America's Biggest Shopping Mall stands now? Ike's General Store, like in The Waltons?
